"Book of the Year" - Publishing News

Tricia Wallker's debut novel, Benedict's Brother, has been selected by Roger Tagholm, deputy editor of Publishing News, as one of his 3 Books of the Year, alongside Ian McEwan's best-selling "On Chesil Beach" and Costa Book Award winner "What Was Lost" by Catherine O'Flynn.

Tagholm said it was "a touching novel about a woman journeying to the famous Bridge On the River Kwai to scatter her uncle's ashes. For the service, a line of Buddhist monks fans out across the famous bridge, like a saffron-robed sunset."

Benedict’s Brother is published by Coppice Publishing. The quickest way to get hold of a copy is to buy the book direct from the publisher.
